Access point solutions

I have a client that has a 9280 sqaure feet building. They have approximately 20 'wired' workstations throughout the building.

The president of this company has decided that he wants to be able to use his notebook (Dell w/ built-in wireless NIC)in the conference rooms without having to "plug in". Any suggestions as to what brand/model access point(s) I should use? I would really like the whole building to be covered as I am sure he will test it in other parts of the building & complain if he gets dropped off the network.

In the past I have used various SMC access points. They work okay, but the range has typically not been too great. I would like to install, at the most, 2 access points.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
bw

If you pop an access point, I do not care about the model, into the conference room of concern you should be done.

If you want wireless for the whole space, it is a different issue.

Please advise.

I want the whole building covered as he is one that will test the whole building to make sure it is covered. Also, there are multiple conference rooms.

Thanks again

I am not sure why you set an arbitrary limit of two APs, but see:
On this sites forums, you will see discussions that may help about using WDS: forum916

If you have a notebook with wireless capabilites, you will find a site survey made easier using NetStumbler: netstumbler.com

See in particular using the WRT54G/GS or WAP54G/GS in WDS modes in several threads in this forum.
