I am having difficulties with a community project transcribing parish records for internet publishing.

The data is stored in Access97 databases, as requested, and the input is via a VB6 interface on a WindowsNT4 platform.

I am experiencing an anomaly with 7 of the 200+ databases created so far, one of which is WW.Sa0020.mdb

The path of a database is q:\Parish\WW.Sa\WW.Sa0020.mdb

However when trying to input data via VB6 There is an automation error - to remedy this I repaired the database but the message read Successfully repaired Database q:\Parish\\WWDSa\WWDSa0020.mdb this spurious name also appears in the File menu as the most recent file.

I have run a virus check with no virii found. I have created a new empty database and checked the File menu and all is well, but when I imported the tables the database reverted to the spurious name again.

This did not happen with WW.SA0001 - WW.Sa0023 only WW.Sa0020.

I would be grateful if anyone else who has experienced and overcome this problem to pass on their solution as it will save what little bit of hair I have left from being pulled out.

Many thanks in advance
