access odbc mysql and SPEED

Hi,

thank you for reading my question.

Why does it take 2 minutes to link a table of 60 records from a mysql to ms-access via MYODBC (linked table and pass-through). (System is win 98, 196 RAM, AMD 350 MHz, new version mysql)

Do you know a solution to make liked tables or pass-through-sql faster.
 
For large amount of data try using LOAD DATA INFILE (read this in the documentation)
MyODBC works really slow with views. I tried this from VFP 7.0 and this is not a solution at all. Try LOAD DATA INFILE. You will like the speed... :))
