Access ODBC Error

Have a Crystal version 7.0 report that reads an Access 97 database using the ODBC driver. Occasionally I receive this error message: On the blue line of the message box it has “ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed” In the text portion of the message it has “Could not use ‘|’; file already in use.”

What is this message telling me and how can I prevent this from occurring?
