Access not working after Office 2003 GPO deployment

I recently tried to deploy Microsoft Office 2003 via group policy to a small group of 'guinea pig' users. Most of the deployment went well, but Access isn't cooperating. When users click on the icon, it says it is installing, shows a progress bar and then disappears. If you click the icon again, it repeats its previous actions.

The deployment is as a user assignment with a transform on a SP2 slipstreamed administrative install on a server. The group has full rights to their local PCs and the administrative install share.

I am running out of ideas. Hopefully I can borrow some of yours!
