Hi,

I am trying to migrate a series of older .mdb databases to Sql. The Long term goal is to eventually upgrade the whole suite of tools to powerapps.
One of the databases has all but two of its tables owned by (unknown). The system .mdw Admin has no permissions on any of those tables and there is no other .mdw file stored with the databases.

Is there anyway to take ownership of the tables within the database? Or a way to clear the permissions so the Access SQL migration tools can access the data stored with the database?

Thank you!

Either the default admin user has both read data and read design permission on the tables or not. If it can, simply import the table to a new file as admin. The new file will not have any permissions on it unless you have set it up in the database to inherit it - at least I think you could... Old deprecated feature, my memory is fuzzy.

If not, how do you know the tables exists? I'd go down that path... likely there is a workgroup somewhere that you can get at that some user has access to in some way... If you can use that user permission and the workgroup to import to a file where that user is logged in but also admin or All Users has access to the objects, you can do another cycle after to import as admin...
