Hi All,

We have cognos installed in win 2k server.

We have configured our access manager to a Netscape Directory LDAP server and run the runtime configuration. The server is responding.

But when we opened the Access Manager with default .CSA file and tried to expand the default folder, the error as shown in the attachment appeared. It asked for the common logon login/password and after that we could see all the user classes.

But why is this error showing up and how to rectify it?

pls find more info below:
----------------------------

The Win 2k server name is dwhp57.

When we logon to Win 2k server if we select domain name (domain name is 'production' rather than local computer name 'dwhp57') in the domain drop down box,

1. When we connect to Access Manager, it gives login window as cognos common logon and the cognos common logon server is running and no issues.

2. when we connect to Access Manager - Administration and click down to default namespace it connects without giving any error

3. If we right click on the common logon server (key symbol shows in bottom), the logout is enabled

-------------------------------------
The problem is only when we logon by selecting local machine (dwhp57, rather than domain name 'produciton').

1. When we connect to Access Manager Admin, it gives cognos login window(instead of 'cognos common login window)

2. After connecting to Access Manager, when we drill down to default namespace it gives following error

but still it connects. and whenever we try to connect to PPES - Administrator/IWR - Administrator it keeps asking for username /password.

3. If we right click on the common logon server (key symbol shows in bottom), the logout is not enabled, guess its not active only.

the difference is if we logon in Win 2k by selecting domain (produciton) rather (dwhp57) in domain drop down its working fine. the problem is only when logon by selecting local machine name in domain drop down box.

rgds,

arun.
