I have two clients that want to use Access Manager security without having IWR. They will probably be using the Sun/OS LDAP service, as they have complicated MS ADS setups and are concerned about opening up security. They do plan to use OS/login authentication.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to set this up, regarding where to put the LDAP service and Access Manager (physically). Anyone have any negative experiences with this LDAP server conflicting with ADS (when using a different port, of course)? I plan to put them on the same file server that serves up the reports, catalogs, and the ERP application that drives the data.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave Griffin
