What causes Access 2000 to just lock up after you modify code, or doing some copy and paste functions. I'm thinking maybe My memory (1 gbyte) runs low or something.
I have to kill Access with the task manager to shut it down.

Once the program locks up there must be a flag set because I can't modify any code. I can't even get back into design mode on a form.

I have to go to a backup copy and make changes in that one.

What is going on with Access? How can I fix a locked Access program?

well it sounds like there is a problem with your software did you try do reinstall the software

No I have; however, I did update all the sevice packs for Access 2000 on Monday, but the problem is still happening.
I'll re-install Access tomorrow to see if that helps.

Are you sure there is no alert dialog up (may be hidden since the VB environment is separate from the main Access environment)?

Or, as phv said, some code running elsewhere in the app?
