Hello, I am interested in your opinion on Access97 Linked Tables. We have upsized an Access application to Sql Server and are testing 3 ways.
Multiple users in the Access database (original form)
Multiple users using application (upsized with linked tables)
Multiple users using Application with all queries moved to stored procedures.

Is there any advantage to the linked tables method? It would be less work than the conversion of over 100 very complex queries to stored procedures. Can we assume any locking advantages using Linked Tables?

Our goal is 5-10 users writing proposals and not getting into locked out situations. The current Access application is popular but not meant for multiple users.
I would like to hear your opinion.
