I know Access is extremely powerful, and I really do need a good "how-to" but I haven't come across anything useful yet.

Here's what I'd like to do: If a user picks a particular value from a combo box, another combo box is then made visible so the user can select some sub-categories. The main problem is, not all of the main categories have sub-categories, so it needs to be sensitive to that. I'm sure it's doable, I just don't know how to go about acheieving it. Thanks!!

hi,

You do it with queries to the table, based on the previously selected value(s).

You might try posting in one of the many MS Access forums like forum701.
