Setting = WinXP SP2 w/Office 2003
We recently implemented folder redirection for the my documents folder pointing to a UNC name (\\server\share$\%username%) instead of a mapped drive letter (H:\MyDocs) as it used to be.
Now we have a few computers (maybe a half dozen out of hundreds) where the user cannot attach a file from the My Documents folder to an email - getting 'Access is Denied' message. They also get the same message when attempting to save an attachment that someone sends to them.
The user can access the My Documents folder from the desktop icon or through windows explorer, and can then copy/paste or drag the file into the email and send it. Just can't access My Documents from Outlook.
FYI: I found a similar post with similar symptoms from Dec 2004, but with no resolution - see thread605-966038
Any thoughts or ideas?....dj
