Access is denied - as Administrator

I am trying to gain access to a directory on our W2K server. I am logged on to the server as the administrator. The directory is set up as the users private folder (ie D:\users\billw). I cannot change any permissions of directory, and the user can not access it when logged on to the network.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

As administrator you will have to take ownership of the folder and then add the user back onto the permissions list.
