I have a query that is pulling from our as400 system. I then import this file into an access data base. every month then I import the import adds about 44k blank lines. I have deleted all columns to the right of the data and deleted all row below the data. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Hi,

"I have a query..."

How is this query run?

Where does it put the resultset?

"...the import adds about 44k blank lines"

Import from what into what?

Skip the query is run using MS query and the data is returned to excel. I then import the excel file to a created access data base. within access is where the added lines appear.

In excel, on the sheet containing the query, select the NAME in the Name Box.

What rows are selected?

Does this include the EMPTY ROWS?

If so, change your query.
