I was wondering does anyone know anything about having a record retrieved one at a time rather then all of them at once. I have a access xp front end on my database and sql server 2000 as the engine, when you open up the database it opens all the records including the picutres I have on the form and loads all this on to your desktop. Is there a way for the form to load empty and the users just call the records to their desktop rather them all loading all at once????

Sounds like you tied the form directly to the table. You can write a query that pulls a single record, then tie the form to the query. You would probably need parameter in the query that specifies which record to pull, maybe the primary key value from the table (for example, Account_Num). I hope this helps. Good luck!
