Hi there. I've written a database in Access and would like to make it into an exe.

I figure that the only way to do this, is to get it over to visual basic 6, and then use the package and deployment wizard to create the executable, with a setup.

But my problem lies in the conversion between the two programs. Is there any easy way of getting an access database, in it's entirity, over to Visual Basic?

PLEASE tell me there is a way!?

Nice concept, but no you can't to it with anything Microsoft provides, though they do provide a run time version of Access, which allows users to run applications without any development capabilities.

There are 3rd party tools available; eg; check out:

This is quite expensive, and I have no idea regarding how well it works. For more info, do a google search on "Access to VB Conversion".

You might also want to do a check up on thread thread181-728975

Hope this helps

Right... i've now managed to get the data in there by using one of the addins in VB6.

I now need to get the access queries to run on the visual basic form!

Any ideas?
