Hello
I'm aware of the access issue with filtering e.g. dropdown boxes' display string values with wildcards (while storing another column with e.g. digits), where access will go into read only when you do it.
I have another issue though, where a string-field in the database is in a normal databound text control in my form. Everyone can filter this freely with wildcards like "*john*" and still edit the form. One user, though, with the exact same version of access as the rest of us (he even has office SP2 like me), has the problem of access setting the form in read-only.
Any clues to why this is happening?
We are all linking the tables from Oracle through ODBC, with the same version of the oracle client.
