Hi,

Can anyone assist me. I have a simple database, nothing complicated. I managed to design 4 simple forms, after I had used one of the forms, MS Access refused to open this form. I cannot enter the design view of this form. I do not get any error message whatsoever.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Al.

Sure you cannot open at all?
I know of one strange Access bug, that makes you believe the form was open but not displayed:

It is simply displayed way low outside the screen! Scroll down. Then maximize. That should display everything correctly again.

Hi MakeItSo,

The strange thing is that you cannot open the form, nor does the design view allow you to open the form. The only option for me is to re-create the form itself.

If I run the analyse option on document(Access 2000, Tools, Analyze, Documenter), I get the following error "Application-defined or object defined error"

I am running Windows XP, and running Office 2000, and I have applied the latest SP for Office 2000.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Al.

Office repair installation could fix it. Sometimes, Office SRs require a repair afterwards. :-(

Hi,

I tried the Office repair, but the problems is still there.

Any other ideas ?

Thanks,
Al.

Have you tried holding shift when opening the database incase its a startup issue.

If this is Access 2000:
Hit Alt+F11 to display the VB Editor. You will then see your Access objects in the upper left pane.
Choose your form from there and you will see its code. Look for unusual things there. If the form contains code and you can't find anything unusual, just paste the code here, we'll probably find something.
