access form -- cannot read fields

I am trying to support a form built in Access by a previous employee. When viewing the form on a Windows 2000 Professional machine (Access 2000) the form fields appear as black background with black type, so you cannot see any data. When viewing on a Windows 98 machine -- the background of the field is light blue and the text is black. It looks fine.

I have tried to change desktop resolution, color schemes, and colors on the form itself. None of these attempts have been successful. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
