Hi All,

Hopefully this isn't too complicated!! I'm designing an Attendance/Payments screen which contains 3 subforms, each one on a separate tab. The subforms' datasource are recreated when the date is set to a new value on the main form.

On the sub forms, there are a few fields which I've used conditonal formatting. An example of this would be attendance, if the user clicks a button on the sub form, the record is updated and a field changes colour.

The issue I'm having is after the 3 data sources have been updated, there are 4 or 5 flickers on the screen, which seem to be related to the conditional formatting. Anyone know the best way to fix this?

Thanks for any input in advance

Fitz

I think. By chance are you using conditional formatting on a calculated control? Normally this has to do with functions and conditional formatting.
What is your access version?
What is the conditional formatting?
what are the calculated controls?

Hi MajP,

The conditional formatting is on retunred values from the Data Source. For example on the first (and most complicated) subform the conditionally formatted fields are as follows:
Balance (Red if neg, green if 0, black if positive)
Attended (2 fields, if attended then field 1 = Green, field 2 is grey, else field 1 grey, field 2 red)
Paid (if <> 0 then grey)
Due (if <> 0 then grey)

Access 2003 SP1 (or whichever is the latest!!)

Thanks,

my guess due is a calculated field.
