Access Error 3190?

Too many fields defined", Error 3190. Never seen this error before, any ideas or a way around it?

By the way, the error description reads:
You tried to perform an operation that involves more than 255 fields. Reduce the number of fields, and then try the operation again.



I have done a search and only 1 other thread with no help really.

We need more info regarding the queries / tables / report involved, but essentially the resolution will be to:
Reduce the number of fields, and then try the operation again.
