I am finding it so risky opening up any application I have to modify it or add to it, as I keep getting the message, Sorry, Access has encountered a problem and must be shut down. No helpful suggestion from Microsoft as to what it might be in it's message, just Sorry

Any ideas Thanks

Thank you Mr Gates, I am having a fun day again while you have all the money in the bank. I decided to use my Access 2010 on my Windows 7 partition. My application opened, worked okay, but when I closed it a message came up saying it could not find the database I was closing to delete? and something about compacting, and promptly shut down leaving me to find what I had as an application cremated into an .mdb file with a different name, fortunately able to find on date/time in Windows Explorer.

Applications take hours to do, why is Access so flakey???
