I am very new in exchange.
I would like to set an exchange enable me to have centralized send and receive email. please advice.
Now we have direct connection to internet via router per workstation and address.

Do you have anything set up so far?
There is a lot to configure in Exchange.
Exchange 5.5 works well for both Internal e-mail and external POP3.
We are using it but I called Microsoft to help me set it up.
And it took hours on the phone.

My advice is to get a book called teach yourself exchange in 21 days by sams publishing. It has the all you will need to set up the server quickly

I have been on exchange courses and I am taking the exam in a few weeks. Read throught the planning and setup examples. Then that should set up up for the installation.

If you read through and plan the installation and also I suggest use a machine to practise the install with you should be fine.

It works best if your ISP has your SMTP mail feed already set up - getting internal mail is easy, sending and receiving to the Net can be tricky.
