Access Develop tools

Hey there,

im using access developtools from MS to distribute my database to the users, but now everybody has it installed and i have an update, but when i use developtools to distribute it again, the users get an message This program is already installed, please uninstall.

How can i make this an update so it will install over the other DB

There is an option box towards the end that is very literally called "Always overwrite"

The other option is of course, that if they already have all the run time files why not just distribute a new mde or mdb front end? There are a few posts on here which discuss automating this process to ensure your users are always up to date

Finally, the install routine provided by developer tools ofen suggests a restart which isn't required so just giving out a new front end could save your users time.
