Access Denied

I'm trying to install a Xerox print driver on a Mac PowerBook G4 OS 10.3.3 for a Phaser 740 printer. After downloading Xerox_PPD_Installer_v.1.7.1 I attempt install and get the following error:

1008:5,-5000 Acess denied error Error creating file

I know this refers to a permissions issue, but I am the system administrator and have never had any access issues before with any installation. I've tried resetting permissions on several folders that seemed relevant to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for which folders to reset permissions and what settings to use?

I resolved this issue by downloading and installing Pseudo. This shareware worked seamlessly to 'force' the administrator permissions on the print driver installation.
