I have a very strange situation. I have several servers that were in domain A and were backing without any problems. We moved the servers to domain B(active directory domain) and got access denied on several registry files during the nightly backups. I resolved this issue by upgrading the agent on all the servers. The servers are all WINNT 4.0 SP6\Arcserve client agent 6.61. The new agent is Arcserve 2000 with SP3. I cannot figure out why this resolved the access denied problem. Additionally I had a server with a local tape drive with the same problem. After loading the agent locally on the server, the access denied problem went away. Any idea why the agent resolved these issues.
