I have a client running RedHat 7.2 and Samba 2.2.2. There are two users that get intermitent "Access Denied" errors when attempting to write to the server (they can still ACCESS the server, they just can't save to it). If I do a smbpasswd -d <username> and then a smbpasswd -e <username>, it takes care of it. It usually occurs at least once a day. Another user can log in to the same machines and have no problems. Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Sam

Hi ,

A suggestion..

Please visit You will get to know about a superb distribution of linux there. It supports (based on) rpms with excellent windows connectivity. It works superbly in my Win2k network like any other Win2k machine. I have tried to configure Redhat 7.0 without success. But this distribution works fine and have looooooooooooot of goodies.

I hope this is not a promotion or something like that as the distribution I have mentioned is free :)

HTH ( to a small extend)
