Hey all,

Strange happenings! :D

For no know reason microsoft outlook 2007 has decided to shoot me in the foot. It's decided that we can no longer open older version word documents, as well as jpg files. I don't know what other files have been added to that list of restricted, but that's what's apparent to me now. Was there a recent security update that microsoft has decided this is appropriate behaviour for outlook 2007?

Previously this has all be working fine till this week.

With word I get the following error message

This error occurs if you try to open a Microsoft Office document and the file type for that document has been blocked by a registry policy setting. To help secure your computer, Microsoft or the administrator of this computer implemented a registry policy setting that prevents opening this type of file.
To open documents with this file type, disable the registry policy setting. For more information, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 922850.

I've followed the instructions on the KBA to no avail, I've also has to create the registry keys that it specified as they did not exist.
