When my group of users (who have all been granted Co-ordinator rights) try to check out documents in the document library of the Portal dashboard, they get access denied errors (even the person who originally added the document to the Portal).
However, when they access the document through a Network Place mapping to the Portal's web address (folder view), they can freely perform all operations on the document.
In Internet Options, the Portal has been set up as a Trusted Site for all users with custom settings to allow basically anything and to automatically log in with current Windows authentication.
I am wondering if the problem could be related to the IIS lockdown tool which we routinely run on all web servers. I ran it on this machine with the SharePoint settings and at the time it did not seem to affect functionality at all. It is only lately, that this problem has shown up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
