Everything I've read mentions "if the user is not a local admin" but my domain account IS a local admin on the sql server. My account is also a sysadmin within SQL. I still cannot connect. If I add myself to the DCOM, still get the error, but my local admin should give me that access anyway. I am able to connect on our SQL 2005 box but not on the SQL 2012. The old MsDTsServer properties on the 2005 box don't exist on Win2008.

Hi,

In SQL 2005 by default all local admins are admins on the SQL box. From SQL 2008+ the local admins are not by default SQL administrators. This could explain why you can connect to one and not the other.

I think this is probably the same for SSIS - but its definitely the case for SQL databases.

My account IS an admin in SQL 2012. I manually added it during the install. I'm sysadmin. ?
