Tried to run a query in Access 2003 using a delete query to delete all orders with order date<1/1/2007. The Orders are 2 linked SQL tables (header and detail) and want to delete from both in my query. Get "Could not delete from Specified tables" when I try to execute delete query. However I can delete one of the records by highlighting line and deleting it individually. Any thoughts?

Not sure you can run a delete on bioth tables at the saem time - if your data is properly normalised, you can use cascading deletes. Otherwise you will probably need to run a delete query on both tables seperately

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

What does the SQL look like?

It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal your
neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.
