Hi,
After my organisation updated their desktop and server operating systems we have had *terrible* performance with our Access systems.
I've tracked the problem down to the DFS we have in place to group all shares on all servers under a common mapped drive. If I bypass this and use the UNC file path performance is back to what I'd expect.
Has anybody else experienced performance problems in Access databases over MS DFS? Is this a configuration problem in our set up, or is it just a "feature" of MS DFS?
Ed Metcalfe.
Please do not feed the trolls.....
