Access db on the web - New record greyed out

I have a Windows 2000 web server, using IIS 5.0. I had an existing Access db. I created a .asp, for web access. while on the server I can user the browser to run though all of the existing records in the Access db. But thats all I can do, I cant create new records. I can only do this from the server, If I try to open the .asp, it tells me Web Components can open the database. I know this seem like a minor question, but Im new to Access. Any assistance helpful.

make sure the db is referenced correctly... other wise, i think this would better be found in
