Hi all,
Have a bit of a problem... I have an Access DB that imports files, which may take a wee while (up to 20 minutes for all the various processes that need to take place). I then have a shadow copy utility that runs on the hour, every hour, to backup the network drive, which includes the Data backend.
It seems that sometimes when a file is being imported during the shadow copy, the backend database becomes corrupt. Whenenver a file is imported when shadow copy isn't running, it imports fine, no corruption occurs!
Has anyone else heard of a similar issue like this, and can anyone suggest any ways around this?
We have restricted the file imports to not be able to be started 5 minutes before or after the hour, but, dependant on the file size and file type, these imports can take longer than 5 minutes.
