Access Date Issue

Hello I have a database where the user inputs dates in non american format. If they put in a date that is before the 10th of the month e.g. 02/11/2008 access turns it round in the table 11/02/2008. after the 10th all inputs fine e.g. 12/11/2008. Can anyone shed any light on this? any help much appreciated
