We are running an access datastore in an XPe farm. What kind of processing does that Access datastore do to the server. We are also publishing applications off of the same machine and are seeing some high CPU utilization along with high context switching.

Would like to get some info on the datastore and how it truly affects the server if anyone has any info.

How many users, separate apps & servers are you running?

We tend to migrate to an SQL Based Datastore at around 200 users / 5 - 6 servers and generally see a big benefit in the logon & load balancing responses.
