I am trying to set up sharing of a database table in Access. I've been instructed to share the database table with certain users by linking the users just to the primary table. They will create their own forms and queries using this table. (No problem there)
However, I've been instructed to set various permissions to each of the users depending on what they may do to the Primary table. Some will be allowed to read only while others will be permitted to make updates and delete records, etc. The trick is that I must create permissions linked to the existing LAN logins. Is this part of the User and Group permissions for Access or are the Access Permissions under Tools/ Security ... separate and unrelated to the User and Group permissions of the LAN.
The objective is to eliminate the need for users to login when accessing a particular database with another password to remember
