How would I get my Access Database to show up on a web page? I have a url to the Access database (showing a form) on the NT web server but it always says it wants to download the database (test.mdb) to my local workstation. I want it to show the database form on this web site so I can fill out the form on this web site.

Any IIS settings I can check or any settings I need to change on the database???

hi,

The only way i know to show the databases contents are to access the tables through a web page, i.e. an ASP page that loads the data.

As far as i know you cannot just access the database like a html page, internet explorer can not understand it and will ask you to download (as you say).

If the database is being accessed through a web page it sounds like the access method is wrong.

If you want more information on how to access the data through a database just ask and i'll send you a guide with instructions.

Cheers Russell

Really just want the Access 2000 form to show up as its own web page.

Please advise how.

There is a wizard in Access 2K to make a web page from your form. In your Database Window, under Pages, choose "Create Data Access Page by using wizard". It will walk you through it. It's a little crude but works at a basic level. I can't do more than tab forward or back in my records with the resulting page, but it's a start. More advanced skills would give me better results.
