This the first time that I am trying to place a database on the server to be used by multiple users. I have split the database how do I make the links to enable use of the database by several computers?
Thanks

In brief:

1. Place the backend on the server in the directory it will reside in.
2. Open the frontend. Go to Tools > Database Utilities > Link Table manager.
3. Select all tables, tick the "Prompt for new location" checkbox.
4. Press okay and in the File Open dialog box select the backend. All linked tables will be updated to reflect the new backend location.
5. Each user should have their own frontend on their local drive.

Ed Metcalfe.
