OK all you Guru Access Heads. this is for you...
When an Access '97 database's VBA code gets corrupted.
So bad that you cannot even open the .MDB.
I have learned, direct from Microsoft, that you can create a new database and import items that had no VBA code in them such as Tables, (Queries that did not call a VBA function) and Macros and Forms or Reports.
Why? Is all of the VBA code in one area or what?
I would thought that Microsoft would have fixed this in 2000
I am working with a clients database and cannot even import some of the forms for this reason.
So they have to be re-created.
I use 2000 and the client has '97 I tried to convert the database to 2000 and got errors in the forms.
I tried Repair/Compress but that didn't work either.
I managed to import 50% of the forms all of the tables and queries.
This needs to be changed...
