Access database didn't make it from FP98 to FP2000

I have been maintaining a site, created by FP98, and recently upgraded to FP2000..
The problem now is that when I try to convert any asp page to the new system, it won't work. Mostly it says that the database can not be contacted.
I have done it several times, using various methods, including the old DSN system, with no success. I can't even get the FP sample database to work.
Any advice will be appreciated.
