Access data base error after restore

When restoring an Access database file "unrecognizable database format" error appears. I am using Arcserve2k on Win2k server backing up Novell 4x server. I've tried restoring several different database files from this server to a different location and all MSAccess files appear corrupt. Am I doing something wrong in the restore proccess
? Please Help.
