Access crashes 1

Several (?all) my access databases open OK but when I open a table and click on menu item "Edit" a message appears "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". All other menu items seem to be OK.

I've repaired the database (or at least two of them), and reloaded both Win98 and Access 2000 to no avail.

The only other program running is HyperOS, but can't see how that could cause such rapier-like damage.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Did you totally uninstall Access before you reloaded it?
