Hello.

I have a folder containing PDF's which I only want those who have a logged-in session variable set to access. It seems there should be some way of tying the session variable and access to this folder together but I can't find anything on the internet. The reason this idea came to me is that I still want the PDF's to appear on site searches and so on but only to be viewable to visitors with the correct session variable set.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

Thanks.

ok, i do not know how you can do this automaticaly, but manually you can set the individual folder security using the folder options them selves, go to the folder, and go to security, delete all but admin, and only admin can use the folder, if you add another user, then they can use the folder... This may work

Thanks.

That should work. The contents of this folder could be viewable by a variety of external visitors though. At the moment they'd log in by entering a username and password (via an HTML form) and if sucessful having getting a ASP session variable set. I suppose what I'd like to do is log someone on as a user for that folder if they pass this access control. If this is possible the other potential pitfall is having multiple users accessing the folder as a the same user.

Any ideas appreciated...
