Is there a way to use Access 2000 to call Winzip to zip a file?

Thanks in advance!

Ion,

Could you give me more information about Winzip ActiveX? Where can I find the documentation about it?
I have the evaluation version of Winzip 8.0. Does this include Winzip ActiveX? If it does, can I legally distibute it with my database within my company network?

Thanks in advance.

I do not have WinZip there, but a better idea is to use command line tools rar.exe/unrar.exe which are installed when you install WinRar. You can use them from command line without problems. To see cmdline parameters run them wqithout cmdline at the begining Ion Filipski

If you still need help on this , let me know and I'll post some code, but you will need a registered version of Winzip 8.0 and their command line processor Wzline (?) to get it working unnoticed i.e. without any user intervention or pop-ups.

Regards,
Graham
