I have an Access Database that I have developed and use the built-in security to create users, set permissions etc via the "Secured.mdw" file.

Does anybody know if there is a way of checking which users are actually logged into the database. I thought you could perhaps create a query, but I don't know where to look to find details of users logged on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Paul

G'day Paul,

This has some links which confirm my experience that it's easy enough to get which machine is logged on. I find this useful enough so i can go and close the session.

If you are tracking a users activity you can store the login windows or access userid whichever you want, or both. Eg. Win user JSmith may be logged on to your db using the mdw account "Data Entry".

Clarify and I'll try to help further in the morning mate
