There are many ways to skin this cat,
but it still tastes like chicken

Good book (by Roger Jennings)!

If I want it to taste like chicken, I'll eat chicken...

Alison Balter's "Mastering Access 97 Development" is worth a look. How it compares to the above mentioned I can't tell. It may be a little to "basic" for some, certainly not me, but a few of the "(Programmer)'s " questions in various forums still seem to be covered in its first=basic section.
If only they could have made it less heavy!

Don't bother with 'Learn Access in 21 days'-badly written and difficult to read. Maybe a good bedtime reading for isomniacs!

Today Is Tomorrows Yesterday. So Why Wait

Access 97 (or 2000) Developer's Handbook by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert (SYBEX). THE book... Terry

Please make sure your post is in the CORRECT forum, has a descriptive title, gives as much detail to the problem as possible, and has examples of expected results. This will enable me and others to help you faster...

All of the above mentioned are good (except for the 21 day).
The problem with being a specialized programmer.....
"if you don't use it, you quickly become an amnesiac!"

My best used books tend to have a large number of sticky note bookmarks in them.

1 Microsoft Access 2000/Visual Basic for Applications Fundamentals
2 Access 2000 VBA Handbook
3 Microsoft Access 2000 VBA Fundamentals/Mastering Set

I know, (my sig other says the same thing)YOUR SPENDING TOO MUCH ON BOOKS!

Anyway, go to a local place (B&N, Borders, etc) and browse through a few different ones and find one in a style you feel comfortable with.
You might get lucky on the first try.

Here are a few I have read and found useful:

Beginning Access 97 VBA Programming
Robert Smith & David Sussman
Wrox Press ISBN 1-861000-86-3

Access Database Design & Programming
Steve Roman
O'Reilly Press ISBN 1-56592-297-2

Access 97 Developer's Handbook
Paul Litwin, Ken Getz & Mike Gilbert
Sybex Press ISBN 0-7821-1941-7

I hammered my way through the Access 97 Help files and taught myself a fair amount, but these books explained it ALL so much better!
