Access Autonumber in Dreamweaver

hi

i have set up my Access database in Dreamweaver and set an insert page to the main table showing all the details but it does not input the reference number (which is an autonumber in the table) or the date which is set up as ()now, does anyone have any idea what i have'nt done that i should have.
