I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following.

Currently I have a database that uses excel in the backround for some information and formulas.

I have database using an autoexec macro to start the excel application as soon as the Access database is opened. This is essential so that information can be transfered between the database and excel file.

What I need to do now is create a macro or script so that when the database is closed the same excel file is closed at that time. Currently you have to close the database, go into the excel file, save and close it separately.

Any help would be much appreciated.

A fairly crappy way of doing this is to record your key strokes and make that a macro. There are a number of (free) tools available to allow you to do this. Have a look at for such a selection.
