I recently added a tab to a Access DB forum and yesterday it was working fine. All records were attached to the appropriate data.

Today we had some problems and I had to compact the DB and now it seems to have added the new tab records to all my record. I originally made the subform from a query that attached the both database with a contactID #.

We added 34 records in the sub form and now all the info is repeated in each record. But if I look at my query it only shows the 34 records... So it seems that it is somehow in my relationship. Somehow it is not telling the db to only display client "A" data with client "A" record.... But if I go into client "A" the subform shows 34 enteries... I hope I make sense.

Thanks,

Kiiwii

You do not have the subform and main form link child and link master fields set properly.

IN your first line, you say 'forum' instead of 'form' I think and you say 'tab' instead of 'subform' I think. Is this correct? Most people would think of a tab as the tab control.

Forget your query for a moment and just open the table. How many records are in there? There are bound to be 34. If there ar emore in the table for some reason, then clearly you have duplicate data and your query has the words SELECT DISTINCTROW.
